The Institute of Public Studies is a Brussels-based independent research institute concerned with contemporary questions in international law. We commission studies and engage with legal practitioners, academics and policy specialists to examine the substance of current debates and the considerations informing professional opinion.

Our research places particular emphasis on the relationship between legal interpretation, institutional practice and public policy. By examining perspectives across jurisdictions, we seek to develop a more comprehensive understanding of areas of agreement, uncertainty and dispute.
